The Homeschool Toolbox

Yes! If your school year starts in August, July is technically your year-end month — so you're getting a sneak peek of one of The Record Keeper's most exciting features right from the start. Your Wrapped is a shareable year-end graphic that captures everything you accomplished.
You don't need to do anything with it now — just add your subjects and start logging. It'll be a lot more fun to generate once you have a full year of data behind it.
You don't need an official lesson-numbering system to use this field. Use whatever stopping points make sense for your curriculum:
The field is just a way to track progress toward a total you define — it doesn't need to match a textbook's official lesson count.
The Record Keeper is designed for end-of-week logging, not daily tracking — and that's intentional. Just like many homeschool families plan at the start of the week, the habit here is to log at the end of it. Once a week, you record your totals: how many lessons you completed, hours spent, and a few notes on what you covered. That's it.
This keeps logging from becoming another daily task on your list. Five minutes at the end of the week gives you an accurate picture of what actually happened — which is exactly what you need for meaningful records.
Keep it short — think keywords, not sentences. The notes field is a memory jogger, not a journal. A few words that capture what you covered is all you need.
If you can read it back in six months and remember what happened that week, it's done its job. The goal is a quick, consistent log — not a detailed record of every moment.
You can cancel anytime directly in the app — go to Settings → Manage Subscription and follow the steps there.
If you're within 30 days of your purchase and would like a refund, email us at ataleofchanges@gmail.com. Annual plans come with a 30-day money-back guarantee — no questions asked.
Export your data as a JSON file from the free Transcript Generator, then import it into the Cloud Transcript Generator. Your courses, grades, and settings will carry over automatically.
Add your courses in the generator and they automatically get added to the builder.
Ideally after your high schooler has completed a course. Curriculum changes happen, so don't spend time writing descriptions for courses you haven't finished.
